How do I ignore distractions?

When i do my homework, I almost always have to use the internet to find my information, but i always get distracted by social networking sites, and im starting to fall behind. any suggestions besides books???
also in class i seem to have the urge to talk to other people and it distracts bothe me and them from the lesson;; its getting really quite annoying;; PLEASE HELP!! thnx x
