I use an iPhone, which is on AT&T's carrier. I call my boyfriend long-distance and he recently switched to Verizon with his family. Since the switch, we have had all kinds of problems. He says he frequently has flaky service, and tells me he goes from having 5 bars of signal to 2, and can't hear me for long periods of time. I have no problem at all hearing him, and my service shows that it's fine all of the time, in fact.
I tried looking up the coverage map for his area in Northern Alabama, but the map seemed to show dropped calls that matched perfectly to any population map, so it seems like that doesn't really show me anything I couldn't guess.
My question is, what can we do short of switching to the same phone service, to ensure that we can simply communicate day to day via phone?
