How Do I hard Reset My MOTOROLA DROID IF IT IS FROZEN~!?

The screen is frozen and stays frozen even if i take the battery out and restart it. I know that a hard reset will do the trick, but Im not sure how to do it if my screen just stays gray when I turn it on!! HELP PLEASE
