How do I hang out after school with sports going on?

okay well, do you play sports all year?
I run cross country and play soccer so that leaves me with nothing to do during the winter so i have more time to hang with my friends, so maybe quitting a sport might help?
Also, how about weekends? no school, no practice you could hang out than, and if your in high school, i feel like hanging out right after school and sports isn't the best idea, your ususally tired and have homework to get done.
and okay and don't text ideas, bring it up in a conversation and than tell them you'll call them later, or make the plans a done deal and tell them to meet you say at the movie theatre to watch a movie or invite a bunch of friends to go bowling or something, and some might show up and might not, but since you invited a bunch of them there'll be enough people to hang out with or if any of those don't work than when someone else is talking about something cool there doing over the weekend,try to invite yourself in or ask if you could join in and after you hang out with a couple people a few times they'll start inviting you to partys, and other things, hope that helps.

I used to hang out right after school with a bunch of friends and then we'd go to the football games, but then different sports started so we couldn't hang out right after school. Football season is over so there are no games to go to anymore either. I usually ask people at the sport I'm doing what their doing that night, but that doesn't get me anywhere. I try texting a bunch of people, but usually we just have a slow conversation and I never end up hanging with them. I feel like I'm losing the rep that I worked hard to get. A lot of kids still hang with me at school, and we're tight and all, but we only get to hang at school. Spring break is starting and I want to hang out most days, but I am having trouble. I feel like it's ruining my social life and I'm just becoming the guy in the background that can't talk about the weekend. Please help me, this really sucks!
