how do i go about replacing a steering wheel in a 1996 ford contour?

i want to replace the steering wheel in a ford contour i bought because the air bags went off after it hit a deer also the cruise doesnt work is that because the air bag went off can i fix theses things thanks i bought this car to fix and drive as a good work beater

You need to pull the fuse for the air bags need a puller to remove the steering wheel be careful of the wires and contacts.get a manual this will help if something isn't right or broke and you are not sure.
