They are round, a little smaller than my pinkie nail, and seem to have a hard outer covering. I think these are palm tree seeds, because none of the othr trees around were in bloom about the time I found them. I tried soaking two in water for 24 hours to soften the shell, and put one into the soil a little bit, and left the other on top. Both have a sandwich bag/dome on top for humidity. Is this right, or do I need to break open the shell or put these seeds in the freezer for a few weeks befre they'll germinate? How long will it take them to germinate?
