How Do I Go About Becoming An In Home Licensed Daycare Owner?

I already have my non-license to provide child care in my home. It's a non-license because the the child I care for is a family member.

I want to expand and branch out. When I got my certificate it was the same process as if I was actually getting my license EXCEPT I didn't have an in home inspection.

I live in California. Can anyone lead me in the right direction?
