How do I get turn of the maint req'd light in honda odyssey?

This light used to turn on and blink for a few seconds each time I would turn on my van. Recently the yellow maint req'd light stays on the whole time even when I drive. How do I know whats wrong with my van and how do I turn it off without having to go to the honda dealer.
