How do I get the sound to come out of my line to my headphones?

When I got my computer with Window 7, every time I plugged in my headphones, a screen came up asking for "headphones or speakers". There was the box that said "don't ask me again" and I clicked it. Now every time I plug in my headphones, it comes out through my laptop speakers as well and I don't want it too. How do I get the sound to just come out my line out?
