How do i get the G1 usb android webcam to work?

I have the G1 and i am trying to activate the usb web cam on it. I have the phone app working but cant get the pc app to work. Every time i try to put it on i only get the green screen. The whole thing is so confusing to work out. Can someone please give me STEP-BY-STEP instructions on how to work it and get rid of the green screen?
