How do I get the aux input to work on 2004 honda accord?

I have an ipod hookup on my 2004 Honda Accord, but it won't give an aux input option to play it. How do I get it to play?
it's already hooked up, i got it to play once before, but it just won't play through the stereo. i just can't get the aux mode to activate or w/e
