I'm soloing over this progressive metal backtrack in the key of B minor/ D major.....and I want to give the solo some spanish flavor....I was thinking playing Phyrgian Dominant or 'spanish scale' over it.
The solo in this song by Ill Nino is how I want it to sound....I really like the feel it gives off....

But would the phyrgian dominant sound go over well? I'm not really to keen on music theory..
