I was spray painting for my church and I got it all over my hands! I thought it was no big deal but it started to smell several hours later!

Paint thinner! You can buy it at any hardware store. Just pour it on a rag and it should come right off. Gasoline will work the same way. Just make sure to wash thoroughly after because any chemicals are not a good thing to leave on your skin.
