how do i get sound out of my aftermarket radio i put in a 2004 chevy impalla

with corect door chimewireharness? i put a pioner cd player in a 2004 chevy impalla and it turns on door chimes work and subs work on the sub preouts no sound from speakers now i have been installing for years and never came acroust anything as stupid as this the door chimes work thare are factory amps and i know on dodges systems you cut the black and green wire and ground it to turn on the amps do i have to do somthing like that
