I bought my car a couple weeks ago with an awful smell. The previous owner probably didn't ever shower because the car has a gross BO smell. I figured that I would be able to just give the car a good scrub-down and the smell would disappear but no such luck. I've scrubbed the upholstery with regular laundry detergent, which has helped but not greatly. I've also left a bag of charcoal in the car, but that didn't do much. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm thinking about cleaning the car yet again and spraying down the car with Meguiar's Car Odor Eliminator, but I don't know if those will work. I would prefer permanent solution to the problem.
