I have an unlocked T-Mobile G1 with which I'm using AT&T. I have an unlimited messaging plan, which includes unlimited SMS/MMS, Email, and IM. I turned off the main data on the G1 for fear of being charged since I don't have a data plan. When I turn on WiFi, I can get on AIM (when 'background data' is enabled, which is what it says), but I can't receive picture messages. What are the exact steps I need to take to get AIM and MMS to work properly WITHOUT charging me for data usage? I'm sorry if this isn't very clear, it's as clear as I know I can describe it.
