I have a Sony dsc-w5 Cybershot, about 5 yrs old, and an iMac running 10.4 also about 5 yrs old.
Only software on sony's site stops at 10.3, but also doesn't describe itself as being what I need anyway.
I want to plug in the USB between iMac and camera, and simply drag and drop the photos, just as if I was dragging them off a memory stick. (Yes, should have realised there wasn't one in there when I started snapping). What am I missing? Does anyone have a reliable link to the correct software? The manual and Sony's site seem to be as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Alternatively, is there a sequence of key-presses on the camera that will let me copy from the internal memory to an installed memory stick, which would obviate the problem? Thanks.
P.S. - Yes I have tried simply plugging it in with a USB and waiting for it to behave in a plug and play fashion. Also tried pressing the menu/ select/ OK buttons until the camera stated something promising about being connected...
...unfortunately it didn't work.
