...already established license? I am an artist interested in creating a graphic novel based off of a children's book series published by Scholastic. I've hit a brick wall in my research in finding out how to go about obtaining permission to do this. I know I need permission from Scholastic, as Scholastic owns the copyright. I read that Scholastic does not deal with authors directly. Does this mean that I need to get an agent to propose my idea of a graphic novel version of the series to Scholastic?
