How do I get over the fear of joining a sport?

My dad wants me to join a sport and I'm warming up to the idea but I realized the only reason I won't join a sport is just beause I'm scared my team won't like me or something. I wanna join soccer by the way so I kinda have to be somewhat friends with my team
I'm also scared of being bad at it.
