so i got a speeding ticket its my first ticket and now i have to go to court i'm seventeen...is there any possible way i could just pay a fine instead of going to court? oh and i live in missouri

You may be able to hire a traffic lawyer to go on your behalf, but if you are required to go you were probably going more than 22 miles per hour. Also, since you are under 18, your parents or legal guardian has to go with you to court. You can call the courthouse and ask if you have to go to court or if you can just plead guilty.

hire a traffic ticket lawyer, he or she will help you amend that ticket from traffic violation to non moving violation i.e a broken tail light or noisy muffler. it will cost from $50-$100 a ticket plus court cost, and you don't have to show up in court and its worth it; VS. when you go to court by yourself, you will get points on your driver license and still pay court cost and your insurance premium will increase

There should definitely be something on the back of the ticket, at least a number to call for inquiries.
The court clerk's office should know whether an automatic plea bargain is a possibility (they often do this for teenagers, scare them by making them fear court proceedings and come in to the big marble building, etc., then surprise! there's a plea bargain waiting). This plea bargain will be something with reduced (sometimes to 0) points, like an obstructed windshield, and a defensive driving class or something. It'll cost you a couple hundred, but better than letting the insurance companies know that another bloody teenager got a moving violation.

try paying online.u.call the couort and find out but i dont think u can. you have to go there in front of a judge and say guilty try to take defensive driving if its your first one within a yr
