How do I get my photos from my ipod onto my mac?

Hey, so awhile back I lost all of my photos from my computer and I remembered that they were all on my ipod! but then my ipod lost all its music some how but it still has the photos.

Does anyone know of any [FREE] applications, or any way to get these photos back onto my computer?
