How do I get my Intuos4 pressure sensitivity to work right?

Yesterday afternoon, I decided to upgrade from my Wacom Graphire to a new tablet--the Wacom Intuo4.

Now, when I got my Graphire a few years ago, it automatically set itself up perfectly. The pressure sensitivity worked in my art programs (except Paint Shop Pro, but that was the program itself), et cetera. But last night, I installed my Intuo4 and lo and behold, no pressure sensitivity.

Okay.

I installed all the new drivers that were on the website. I install the package of programs you get with it to see if it's just my out-dated art programs. I go on all the sites I can find to get information on how to get it to work. I check the manual (eight or nine times). I find absolutely NOTHING to be helpful.

I mean, I got it set up so the pressure sensitivity works on the pen (as I can see in the tablet settings window), but it still doesn't register on any of my art programs.

I have OpenCanvas, Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0, and Corel Sketch Pad. I got Photoshop and Corel from the Wacom site, and have had OpenCanvas for years.
