how do i get my emerson bluetooth headset to work with my ps3 slim?

i have a ps3 slim 120 gb, and the emerson Model# is EM227BK , i bought the bluetooth from a friend he said it worked for his, but i cant get it to work with my ps3, please tell me how to put the headset into discoverable mode and the steps i take after that
 
you have to set up the headset to the bluetooth on the ps3.. like this go to settings<then assessory settings<then manage bluetooth devices<then register new devices... and follow the steps. its easy took me awhile to figure out cus there is no manuel or anything that comes with it.
