I've been breastfeeding my baby from day 1. We started giving her bottles of pumped milk since she was 2 weeks old because I go back to work when she is 3 months old. We'd give her bottles occasionally and she would take them with no problem.
On Thursday, my husband and I took our daughter to the home day care that she will be in come the end of August. We wanted to ease her into the day care situation, going a day here, a day there. Well, we neglected to tell the lady running the day care how to warm the bottles of pumped milk. While we were gone, I'm almost positive that she tried to give me 2 month old daughter cold milk.
When we got home, my husband tried to feed her a bottle again, and she was SCREAMING and wouldn't take it. She breastfed fine. Again, later that night she screamed when he offered her the bottle. She breastfed fine. And, then again the next day it happened. My husband warms the milk perfectly, and she took it before we had taken her to day care. But, ever since that day she refuses the bottle, I'm assuming because she might have been scarred from the cold milk.
Anyway, we have a few more weeks to help her recover. (I'll definitely give day care the low down on warming bottles.) But, what should we do to help her eat from the bottle again?
