How do I get more oxygen to my fish?

I have a goldfish who keeps swimming to the surface to get oxygen. Is there a way I can introduce more oxygen to his environment while I am waiting to go buy a plant for his bowl?

1- You can't keep any type of fish except for a betta in a bowl, esp. Goldfish, they get pretty big and produce a lot of waste
2- You need what is called a air stone or a bubble wand.
3- Do you have a filter? You need one for EVERY type of fish, wild fish that live in huge lakes or seas, don't need a bubbler or a filter because there is such a vast amount of space and oxygen can enter the water and the body of water is so big that filtration is not needed
4- That fish needs at least 5-10 gallons, not a bowl which is probably 1-3- gallons at most
5- Did you cycle the tank, cycling the tank is a process of having the tank grow a benficial bacteria which deteriates ammonia and nitrites, creating nitrates which is less toxic but is pretty toxic in high amounts

I hate putting you down with all this information, but when I first setup my tank i did it wrong and look at me now!! With a Oscar fish!!
Just keep researching you will have the luckiest Goldfish on the planet

i wouldn't recommend buying a plant as these can be eaten by the goldfish and they also make the water dirty really quick, especially as im guessing you don't have a filter. the best and cheapest way is buying an air stone with pipe and pump, all in all it will work out a lot cheaper than buying plants. they are roughly £10-20. just a basic one will do. up till then though i would not worry, your fish has lasted this long already another week wouldn't hurt. hope this helped

Goldfish can't live long in a bowl with no oxygen.
Get an air pump in there or it'll die, hun.
Also, there needs to be 2 inches of space for every inch of fish, so you might want to upgrade to a tank.

Get a proper tank with a filter. Plants won't do much for him, rather than provide him with a free lunch (Goldfish eat plants).

A bowl is guaranteed to be too small for your fish. Goldfish are large, very messy and potentially long-living fish. They need more like 20 gallon tanks or larger depending on Goldfish variety.

A bowl will stunt him, cause water quality problems that will burn him inside and out - specifically his gill tissue which will lead to him gasping at the surface but there's no amount of bubblers or plants that will cure the problem - and ultimately the fish will die long before it's time.
