How do I get his attention when he is watching sports?

My boyfriend invites me over, and I am feeling in a good sort of mood, but he always turns on the T.V. and starts watching sports, I sit there and try to enjoy it for about an 1 and a half hours (but I can only take so much). How can I get his attention off that and on me, he can record the game, I have other plans in mind.....
