How do I get facebook mobile to work with Telstra in Australia?

I've gone into facebook account settings, mobile. I've tried to "register for Facebook Mobile Texts".. but Australia is not listed.

So then, I tried to "text a link to my phone".. I entered my mobile number and I have not had any texts come through.

I've tried this about 3 times now and now facebook is telling me that I've been sent too many messages and try again later.

Is there something I've missed? And why is Australia not listed????

Driving me NUTS.
