How do i get dreamweaver to notify me for syntax errors in php?

I am currently trying to learn php in dreamweaver so i often come up with syntax errors however do not find out until i test the page but i see people in videos who's dreamweaver automatically pops up when they make a syntax error. how is this possible. and yes i do have the latest version
