how do I get an old game to run on my computer when I have a more than adequate

graphics card? i have a GE force 8800 graphics card and i cant even run Red Faction 1, i get an alert as I'm starting the game that I need 8 mbs of video memory in order to run the game, I have more than enough don't I?
