How do i get a rathalos tail?Urgent.?

I have been killing and cutting off the tail of rathalos,but i don't seemed to be able to get a rathalos tail.I did the quest in the gathering hall,"Hunt the rathalos"Hr1 and 2* quest.
Can anyone help by telling me how do I get a rathalos tail?
