How do I get a Nat type 2 using Easy-Tether, with my Evo Htc, on my PS3?

I have done alot of searching online but I have come to no solution, hard or easy. Ok, I have my EVO-HTC tethered with the usb cable that came with it into the computer. Then I have an ethernet cable wired from my computer into the ps3. I have assigned the direct usb transport connection to share its connection via.. right click/properties/advanced/share connection. I do easy setup on the PS3 under setup connections and it does establish a connection but it says its NAT TYPE 3. Also I cannot ever get it to display my upload and download speeds. It says "error". I then save my settings.
I can sign into the PS3 Network but am 90 % of the time unable to join a game. For example-- I play Warhawk. The first time I tehered it and connected using Easy-Tether I was able to Join, I played foe 3 hours fine. But the last two days I've tried and it says the server may be down or being serviced. I also ran into a problem where if I didnt unmount the SD card, the connection would drop every 10 seconds. I have tried other games as well.
So I'm trying to figure out how to be able to play online with a decent Nat 2 connection.
I have a 3g usb Aircard from the same Network, Sprint. I do it the exact same way as the phone and I get nat type 2 with very little lag. 4g is not available yet in my area. Theres gotta be some reason the phone is doing this. I have an app like task manager. I kill all apps, disable incoming calls, and unmount my sd card when I tether it.
