How do I flash my HTC EVO shift over to boost mobile?

I got a HTC EVO Shift from my friend .She said it can be flashed to any carrier I want to have it flashed over to boost mobile . What do I need to do to flash my phone over to boost and how do I go about this ? and will I still have the same number if I flash my phone over ? If any one has any info that can help me I would greatly apprecate it .
