How do I flash BIOS? Specifications included?

I have a Compaq Presario computer, and in order to install my RAM I need to update my BIOS. For some reason, it isn't working for me. My specifications for my BIOS are as follows:

Please help me, as if my BIOS isn't updated, $110 has been flushed down the toilet.
I can't find it on the HP site, if someone can please add a link to their response that'd be nice :)

The instructions the company emailed me tell me to set voltage to default. My version of BIOS (3.11) doesn't have that option. I can't find the update on the internet, and all the flashing programs I've tried don't work. I have Phoenix BIOS-Award.
 
You forgot to describe the problem. All you tell us is that for some reason it isn't working. Well, what exactly are you doing? And what exactly goes wrong?
