I have a Compaq Presario computer, and in order to install my RAM I need to update my BIOS. For some reason, it isn't working for me. My specifications for my BIOS are as follows:
BIOS Type: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG
BIOS ID: 09/19/2006-C51-MCP51-A8N-LA-00
BIOS Date: 20060919
BIOS Vendor: Phoenix Technologies, LTD
BIOS Version: 3.11
BIOS Size: 524288
Chipset: Athlon 1100 rev 0
OEM Sign-on: Copyright 2006 by Hewlett-Packard Company Rev. 3.11
Motherboard Name: Compaq Presario 061
Motherboard Model: EX325AA-ABA SR1950NX NA670
System Model: 1111
Base Manufacturer: ASUSTek Computer INC.
Base Product: NAGAMI2
Please help me, as if my BIOS isn't updated, $110 has been flushed down the toilet.
I can't find it on the HP site, if someone can please add a link to their response that'd be nice
Computer Type: » Compaq Presario Media Center SR1950NX Desktop PC
The instructions the company emailed me tell me to set voltage to default. My version of BIOS (3.11) doesn't have that option. I can't find the update on the internet, and all the flashing programs I've tried don't work. I have Phoenix BIOS-Award.
