i checked the pressure with an air gauge, and the pressure was super high, at about 110 psi, before i tried adding a little r134a refrigerant that we had just bought, just in case i was getting a bad reading. i was told optimal pressure is 35psi, and i didn't want to make matters worse by exceeding that amount. what else could be the problem, if the psi is too high and the a/c doesn't work? i was hoping it was something simple like the a/c system needed to be recharged, but i guess not.
