how do i fix scratches on my car?

so I have no idea how this happened but today when I got home I noticed some scratches on the hood of my car...very minor scratches I think maybe from a bush that was in front of where I last parked my car. Either way its unsightly but not that severe...what would be a way to get rid of these scratches (i don't want to try to do that match the paint thing cause its a metallic paint and it would look funky if i did that)

buy a a rubbing compound and apply it then polish it with clean cotton clothes
