how do i fix my sidekick slide?

ok, yesterday i droped my sidekick slide ino a puddle of water, dryed it and everything but today for some reason it had tht lil thermometer sign where the battery sign is supposed too be so i put it on the charger all day and when i came back it only had a blue light blinking on the d-pad but it wouldnt turn on. i took the battery out and put it back in and tried turning on my phone but it just stays off and wont turn back on no matter what. i need help, ive had this phone for less than a month
