my Samsung Gleam now only displays "download and upload mode emergency" on a white screen whenever I turn it on or plug it in.
I was calling my voice mail, I got a text, then I hung up. I called the voice mail again, and 639# appeared though I didn't dial it. then the number keys on the right side (the 3 6 and 9 keys) wouldn't work when I pressed them. then this problem started.
I was going to get a new phone soon anyway, but I am very frustrated that it quit so suddenly. Also, I have important texts and pictures stored that I really hope I can salvage.

Unfortunately, removing the battery doesn't seem to work.
