I have a 1994 Volkswagon Jetta, my car isn't able to shift gears anymore, so I end up driving 35 mph at 40 rpms!! My car is an automatic shift by the way.
I went to Pep Boys and they told me that i have to change its transmission fluid. So i changed my transmission fluid with a syphon (cuz my car doesn't have a drain hole at the bottom that you can unscrew and let the transmission fluid flow out.) and then i refilled it with new transmission fluid.
My car worked perfectly, for a while, now the transmission RARELY works, like once a month.
Can anyone give me advice?
put more transmission fluid? or get a new car? have it professionally done?
i used synthetic transmission fluid btw, and i did check that my car uses synthetic transmission fluid and i did use the right type.
