i have a 1993 mazda protege and when i turn the front end starts popping, i believe this is the cv joints. How do i replace these and where can i find the parts?
Also how much would this cost me?

...YOU dont...there fairly simple to replace but there in a place that can cause lots of problems,so if you have to ask,you cant do it....now if you want it done on the cheep you ask at a local taxi firm for a back street mechanics number ...normally its alot easier to replace the whole drive shafts from one froma salvage or breakers year...around £20 each...fitting shouldn't be more than £40....
garage using new Parts your looking at £500 easy.....
the balls in your court....hope this helps

You can buy a good service manual for that vehicle or go to a reference library to get the info you need. The parts can be bought from any parts store almost just be aware that some of the rebuilt drive axles have a full lifetime warranty just as the brand new more expensive ones have too.

Hope that helps and best of luck.

The CV replacements can be purchased as a CV shaft assembly from a wrecking yard which is the best way to go for a quick fix. I wouldn't recommend that a novice try the task however because of the numerous steps involved. It is easy to damage or contaminate the lube bearings and protective boot if you don't know what you are doing. I'd suggest you take your vehicle to a front end shop to determine the actual problem and go from there but plan on paying to have the repair done.
