O500 . Details:
1. The speedometer cable has been unhooked due to a horrible rumbling noise in the instument cluster.
2. After a little research I discovered that this code, (PO500), shows up many times in internet searches at the same time as O2 sensor codes,(1300?), and PO171, Mixture too lean.
Is there a Vehicle Speed Sensor in the cluster that determines fuel mixture changes on acceleration and deceleration? If so, would having the cable disconnected cause the CEL to turn on?
