How do I fix an engine dying problem in my 1990 Honda Civic DX?

My car has had problems in the past with not starting. At first we thought it was vapor locking because it started up in July or August when it was around 100 degrees. Someone has since told me that vapor locking is not possible.

Now a new problem has risen and my engine has started to die on me every time I try to run it. It started about two and a half weeks ago. I was driving to work and right before I got to the on ramp it died. About 5 minutes later I started it back up and drove it 20-25 minutes to work and it was fine. Later that night it died about 3 minutes after starting it up. Tried it again and it lasted only 2 or 3 minutes, and one final time it lasted about 45 seconds.

People have mentioned that it might be bad gas, injection module, fuel filter, we're going to replace the fuel filter and might try to siphon out the gas and put new gas in. Any more ideas are very welcome. Thank you.

Well, Hondas have a "brown relay" known to fail and do just that! All you need to take it off is a 10 mm socket and extension. Is located on the left side of the steering wheel and under the dash and only has one 10 mm bolt securing it.. Try replacing that.
