how do i fix a sidekick 08 with little water damage?

okay so i brought it used because i really needed a phone because i lost my other one.. and when i went to the store to get a sim card the guy was like its water damaged because it had the red sticker. BUT THE SIDEKICK WORKS PERFECTLY NORMAL.. Soo what can be the problem.. can it have problems later on?? is there any way i can fix please helpp
