My father and I are having problems with the break lights in our van. We replaced the lights with new lights and a new system for the lights. We checked the wires in the back of the van to see if the wires were messed up or anything but they are just fine. By the way the turn signals weren't working either, neither was the horn but we messed with the wires in the steering column and they work just fine now, hence asking my question. Help me..I'm confused :)
Its a tilt and cruise, I'm just trying to figure out how to fix it with out spending any money or taking it to a mechanic. I'm young and trying to still learn how to fix cars.

It sounds like you have a bad Turn signal switch. The Horn and the Brake lights are also wired through it.
If it is a tilt wheel, it should take just over an hour to replace it. A bit less for non-Tilt. The tilt wheel switch is about $100.00 and non-Tilt is about $55.00
