How do i find out what wrong with my car stereo?

i drive a pontiac vibe 06 and i have a stock stero and whenever i press cd nothing happens, i dislike listening to the radio.... please help me, i heard it might be because low voltage but what does that mean? http://replacementradios.com/popup_image.php?pID=1303
this is my stereo and the i cant listen or load cds or anything which bums be out
