How do I find a vendor for denim?

I am doing a school project and I am in fashion marketing. Part of my project is finding vendors for our store plan. Realistically I can't go through the company of each denim brand I am choosing to use because they only deal with larger retailers and I will be opening a boutique. Does anyone have any suggestions about finding names and contact information of vendors. Anything will help. Thanks (: Oh and it will be designer denim so I need the real deal not knockoffs.
 
Using the web is actually the best possible way in dealing with your predicament. I know some online shops and you can find them by using a search engine. Good luck on your project, CDawg.
