I'm a 14 year old girl (Asian). I love anime since discovering it half a year ago and watch it online secretly. I'm a very private person and my parents think anime are stupid cartoons. Once, they found my anime drawings and yelled at me + grounded me for a month.
I'm homeschooled because I'm academically advanced and have some extracurricular activities, but with people a few years older than me. None of my friends are really close to me (they say I'm a geek) but we get along. I've never had a best friend but really feel lonely lately because I have no one to talk to. I want a friend who appreciates me and likes anime too.
Am I hoping for something impossible? I dress fashionably, have a girly side, good hygiene, good manners/attitude, and a sense of humor. But I like computers, anime, and other "geeky" stuff so no one wants to be a close friend (nor do they have similar interests).
