how do i escape anvils ford in darksiders?

i just got the wrath shard in anvils ford near where the zombie guy in the top hat shows up but im stuck there. i tried going into the hollows but there are no vulgrim locations there. i cant get back to ulthane either. i just need someone to tell me how to get to a vulgrim location from the hollows because that seems to be the only place i can get to
