Okay I'm not exactly overweight or underweight, but I really want a flatter stomach for summer, so I'm trying to eat healthier. The thing is, my parents are Chinese and they cook a ton of white rice and ground pork, and a little bit of stir-fry for dinner. They force me to eat like 2 cups of the white rice and like 4 ounces of the pork! I'm forced to eat all of it or else I get in trouble and get yelled at. There is only a little bit of vegetables and it is stir-fried and really oily. I don't know why but my parents force me to eat the white rice and pork but don't care if I eat the vegetables or not. They said something about eating balanced and that means eating more grains and meats. It makes me really full but I have to eat all of it and that is keeping me from losing any weight. I eat a really healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack, but by the time I eat dinner it's too much. I don't know how to cook and I'm not allowed to either, so I pretty much have to eat whatever they cook. Sometimes when they are too lazy we order pizza, which is even worse. I don't know what to do now! I am way too busy with studying and homework to exercise so all I can do is eat healthy. I tried to ask if they could at least switch the white rice to brown rice, but they said No it doesn't taste good. My mom doesn't eat chicken or turkey so the only meat we eat is pork, which I don't mind but would rather have chicken. I heard white rice is bad for you if you eat too much, and I definitely am eating too much because my parents make me eat so much. They say I shouldn't be worried about my weight because I'm still a teenager. Well that doesn't mean I can eat 600 calories for dinner every night and not expect to gain any weight!
What do I do now I'm really trying to lose weight but my parents yell at me every time I mention eating healthier food?
