So my wife and I found a listing for a nice duplex exceeding all our needs, and the landlord seems accepting to us- the catch is that they bought the duplex then their buisness took off in WEST AFRICA, so it took them to a different continent- they claim to need a security deposit and they will ship us a contract and keys- there is a pretty solid amount of $ to be taken advantage of if they're dishonest-- SO! What can I do to make sure I'm not getting taken for a ride? Is there any kind of document that would bind both parties to the agreement- even in different continents? Its a difficult question but I appreciate advice VERY much!! Thanks all!!
