how do i download the yahoo messenger on my sprint lg lotus phone?

i can go to the web browser and chat on yahoo messenger in there, but that's not what i want, i want it as IM on my phone, the whole messenger where i dont have to go to the web browser. can someone pleeeassse help me. :))
